Official Review of Bewitched, a novel b Kelly Moran

Bewitched is the first book by Kelly Moran in the Fated series. It is about a young witch named Kaida Galloway. She sets out to find her roots in the town of Six Fates. Raised and adopted within family, she always felt different. Different became worse when she came into her powers at 16 unable to control them. Her adoptive parents were suppose to fill her in on this other side of her but for some reason failed to so.

Nevertheless, her Aunt Mara had made sure she would find her way back to Six Fates someday. Things soon get weirder as she comes face to face with ‘’the man of her dreams’’ Brady Meath. She had been dreaming and meeting Brady in her dreams for as long as she could remember. She is told that she, her sister’s and the Meath brothers are part of a destiny that will help lift a curse put on both families by her mother. The curse stated that both families would find no true love and neither would it last until ‘’Three by Three shall walk this earth’’ complete the three tasks and set them free.

At first glance, this story seems to be all about romance but it is also about a young girl on a journey to find belonging and acceptance. In order to do that she has to know more about her past in order to look forward to a future. The book has many surprising twists and turns that make for a great ending leading up to the second book in the Fated series. Nonetheless, the book stands alone with a great plot that readers can relate to and reinforces the saying ‘’Home is where the heart is’’. I give this book a rating of 4 out 4 stars and recommend it to an audience older than 16 as it contains graphic sexual scenes, violence, and profanity.

Official Review of The Last Text You Sent by Elise Fender

The Last Text You Sent by Elise Fender is a heart breaker of a story. Not what     most would expect by reading the title.   Whit Walker is the ‘’star’’ of the show while his sister Avery Walker ‘’co-stars’’ in it. Their stories are intertwined as only sibling stories can be. Written in diary entry fashion the book opens up with Avery Walker going about her life like a normal teenager awaiting her first kiss at one of her brother’s games.   Tragedy strikes and Whit sustains a head injury that interrupts the romantic moment and later takes his life. His family struggle to get over his death showing that their lives practically revolved around Whit. Without him, they had lost direction and will to go on.   One day, one of the paramedics returns her brother’s phone and she discovers that her brother had a romantic relationship with someone he only saved in his phone as OCMC. The messages OCMC sends to Whit’s phone makes her realise that not on...
